At any time, a seller can expand and review any profile to view the profile creator, seller service, port availability details and buy-side required information. More than one user in a customer company can create and manage the same or different profiles for the same company.
To edit a service profile, click "Service Profiles"
To expand the service profile details, click the gray arrow
You can also delete or edit this profile by clicking the corresponding buttons appearing at the bottom of the profile display
When selecting the edit function, you will be able to change the details of the profile’s overview/network infrastructure, A-side buyer information and metro availability.
Note: As a seller, be mindful of how it affects buyers when your service profile changes after the service has been in operation for some time. It is your responsibility to provide migration or upgrade plans for features—such as VC speeds—which have been removed, changed or added.
Any deletions or changes to the profile will not go through the Equinix approval process. Prior to any changes or deletions you, as a seller, are responsible for any impact on existing VCs created by buyers to your service profile. ECX does not allow you to delete the profile if there are existing VCs. ECX preserves all existing VCs provisioned to your service profile with the existing parameters prior to any changes you make to the service profile. You are responsible for contacting the buyers to migrate or terminate their existing VCs prior to any changes or deletions.
API integration allows sellers to complete connection provisioning in near real-time—less than 15 minutes end-to-end—from submission on the portal or through buyer API Without API integration, the seller must take manual steps to accept or reject each request on the portal. Sellers will receive a pending request
